The absurdity of the ordinary, whose beauty we all too often overlook, is made visible by Philipp Keel. He teaches the viewer to take a fresh look and to be curious. The usual becomes unusual through the lens of his camera. Keel’s photos are full of movement and lightness. They’re lively, spontaneous and often ironic and humorous. The perspectives surprise and the reflections hint at a world in front of and behind this one. They show that there’s something there – a story, a secret, a puzzle.
