AISA – IMAGES OF AN IMAGINARY CONTINENT
“Of all the places I wanted to see I have never visited a single one. Somehow, the wish to travel to these places has created a feeling of being homesick for something I don’t even know. Over the years, this longing has influenced my work in a way that made it look more and more like the destinations in my fantasy. The essence of this collection was reached while dining at Chinese restaurants and washing my hands in German bathrooms. A mirror was my map.”
All images in this book were produced as unique prints (Edition 1/1) and were exhibited for the first time in May 2005 at Galerie Judin in Zurich. They are C-prints in the format of 37 x 55 cm, mounted on aluminum.
